Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil: Safflower cooking oil is the edible version of pressed seeds of the plant. As a thick liquid, it’s similar in composition to vegetable oil. It’s commonly used in cooking and medicine, though it may also be used on your skin. Safflower oil is also used as a carrier oil for other essential oil. Essential oil versions of safflower are the distilled or pressed versions of the petals and flowering parts of the plant. Despite the name, these don’t have the oily texture that cooking oil versions do. Pure essential safflower oil must be diluted before applying to your skin. You also shouldn’t ingest essential oils due to their more potent nature and other ingredients.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Seed Butter: Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Oil, Glycerin is a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree (Vitellaria Paradoxa).[1] It is ivory in color when raw, with more processed versions being white, although it is commonly dyed yellow with Borututu root or palm oil. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, salve or lotion. Shea butter is edible and is used in food preparation in some African countries.[2] Occasionally, shea butter is mixed with other oils as a substitute for cocoa butter, although the taste is noticeably different.[3][4],
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: Jojoba Oil is the liquid wax found in the seeds of the Simmondsia Chinensis plant. Its structure is different than most other oils because it is biocompatible. That means it absorbs into the skin really easily. It’s rich in vitamin E, zinc, iodine, and other nourishing antioxidants, and it works like a humectant.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a non-sulfate, derived from grapeseed oil. Prized for its effective detangling abilities, it’s able to penetrate the hair shaft making it an excellent moisturizer and conditioner, while remaining gentle on the hair and skin, without coating the scalp or causing a buildup.
